New Beginnings

Most people think of a new beginning as moving house or ending one relationship and starting another or the loss of someone in your life.
New beginnings can be the starting of a new day, every day.
Take the lotus flower it symbolizes purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth. It has its feet in murky waters yet every day the lotus flower opens itself up to a brand-new day each and every day. Its characteristics are a perfect analogy for the human condition: even when its roots are in the dirtiest waters, the Lotus flower produces the most beautiful flower.
The Meaning behind the Lotus Flower in Buddhism for all of us is that every person has the potential to become perfect and enlightened, and it is just a matter of time until each human reaches the light.
Most people have the perspective of their circumstances and situations and that is all they know, and I was one of those people until I learned a different way. Life was a struggle from one event to the next. Life was hard but it didn’t have to be.
The key is to do what you can with what you have from where you are.
That is what I did all those years ago because I wanted more and instead of feeling sorry for myself and believing this is the best it gets, I started to look within.
There was this pull for more and I didn’t understand it at first. I listened to my intuition and there were times where I stopped listening and things would go sideways again and again. As my confidence and awareness grew in this enlightened space so did I as a person.
Living with doubt in my own abilities held me back from being more. What I came to understand was it wasn’t what was outside of myself, it had to come from within.
You may ask how does one do that?
It starts with becoming aware and conscious of what is happening within your body and your thoughts. I learned to listen to that still small voice.
This is so powerful. Most people don’t know this. My body tells me so much like the Lotus flower, it still comes out in full bloom even though its circumstances are in murky waters.
You to can continue to bloom in your circumstances when you have the tools and techniques to continue that upward spiral for your success if you only decide to open your mind to doing things in a totally different way.
Be a Lotus flower and shine brightly each and every day.
